Three days to go. I can do this.

If anyone is interested I’m taking membership exams for CIMA; this qualification is for helping me en route for my career goal of being operations director (ie make stuff happen) for a charity.

Signing off social media for now until exams are finished with (28/08 in the evening)…

Six Beautifully Formed Natural Bridges

A natural bridge, also called a natural arch, is formed by erosion that occurs in massive, horizontally bedded sandstone or limestone. Some bridges, such as the Natural Bridge near Lexington, Virginia (picture 2) are formed by the collapse of a cavern’s roof that may leave remnant portions as bridges. Others may be produced by entrenched rivers eroding through meander necks to form cutoffs. Still others are produced by exfoliation and may be enlarged by wind erosion. Superb examples can be found at Rainbow Bridge National Monument (picture 3) and the Natural Bridges National Monument (picture 6), both in Utah.

Truth: I’m finding it a lot easier to stay calm this season in the (relative) absence of sp0ilers. It’s not that I’m not impatient for the episodes to show up on my TV, it’s not that I’m not anxious for what might happen with my favorite characters.
But comparing the feeling of this time last season (when I devoured as many sp0ilers as I possibly could) to now (when I’m avoiding as many as I can), I find it’s a much calmer place for me to be. Digging for sp0ilers seems to make me frantic and emotionally involved for too long, when I can’t do anything about it, anyways.
Not making the judgment call for anyone else - if you dig ‘em, have a blast, do what works for you. But for me, going from addict to avoider, this feels like a better place for me to be.

It makes me so happy that people who were previously in love with sp0ilers are finding peace and joy in trying to live without them.  I know my fandom experience is lovely without knowing what’s coming and getting wound up before we actually see anything on the screen, and I’m thrilled to have other smart people to hang out with outside of the frenzy. :)
To each her own, for sure, but yay for having friends waiting for the episode with me!  :D  Come join us!
